Being the second most important marathon in France is no small task! Yet, the whole responsibility rests on the shoulders of volunteers. The backbone of the association La Rochelle Serge Vigot Marathon is made up of 61 members.

Starting in January, monthly meetings are organized to prepare the event. Each member takes charge of a specific mission (a commission), but s/he can not handle everything alone. This is why, around the event date, 1300 volunteers give a few hours or a few days of their time for the success of the event. La Rochelle Serge Vigot Marathon association, aware that nothing could be done without these volunteers, offers them a small gift on the day of the race and invite them for a “volunteers party” in January.
